What is QuickFile Enterprise Edition?

The Enterprise Edition of QuickFile allows you to access your client information from anywhere. Whether you are working from home, or using your laptop in a client’s office, you’ll never be out of touch again. Owners and managers can view client data for multiple locations, while local users are granted access to data for a specific location.

QuickFile Enterprise Edition users are each granted access to the program through a unique login. Each user is assigned specific permissions and access rights, depending on the preferences set by the administrator. For multiple office agencies, in all areas of the program (e.g., where you search for clients or run reports) you will be presented with an Agency Filter so that you can choose which office’s data you would like to access. Each user will see only the data they have access to.

Using state-of-the-art datacenter technology, QQ Solutions maintains your QuickFile agency database and images on our secure, redundant servers, guaranteeing you 24/7 access to all of your information. In addition, we provide you with peace of mind, knowing that your data is safe and backed-up at all times. You simply install QuickFile on your computer, then access your data wherever you have an Internet connection. If you also use our QuickQuote comparative rater, you use QuickQuote Enterprise in the same way. All quotes you save will be saved on our servers as well!

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I switch from QuickFile Standard to QuickFile Enterprise Edition?
It’s easy! Start by calling your sales representative. Once you subscribe to QuickFile Enterprise Edition, we will request a copy of your current database so that we can convert it to the new format. Once your database is converted, we will help you confirm that everything is set up correctly, show you how to create your administrator ID and password, and give you a brief overview of the new program. You can then go to the training section of our web site to get on-demand QuickFile Enterprise training on a 24/7 basis.

How many users can I have?
Each account includes 5 distinct login ID’s. Your 5 login ID’s are valid for a single location and you’re allowed one home installation. If you would like to access your data from additional locations, you will need to add an additional 5-user account for each additional location to your subscription. If you need more than 5 ID’s per location then you may add additional blocks of 5 users to your subscription. There is no limit to the number you can purchase.

What if I don't have internet access?
You must have a broadband Internet connection to use QuickFile Enterprise Edition.

Is the functionality in the QuickFile Enterprise Edition the same as in the QuickFile Standard Edition?
Yes! QuickFile Enterprise Edition adds several new features and capabilities, including: unique user/login ID’s and passwords, the ability to assign specific names to each login so that there is an audit trail on work done in the system, plus comprehensive and flexible user permissions and levels. This edition also allows you to filter data as you search, or when you run reports, so that you may have access to all offices, just one, or perhaps two or three here or there, depending on your needs. Several new reports have been added that are only available in QuickFile Enterprise Edition.

Is my data secure?
Yes! Your QuickFile database is stored in a secure Tier 1 data center on our secure and redundant SQL servers. Additionally, we back-up your database continually. QQ Solutions uses best practices to ensure that your data is safe and secure.

How do I use QuickDownload with QuickFile Enterprise Edition?
The basic functionality of QuickDownload remains the same. If you have multiple locations, you will perform downloads separately from each location – with a separate IVANS account for each location. QuickDownload uses your local network to store transactions. We recommend that you set up QuickDownload on one computer in your office. You should not run QuickDownload from your laptop or a home office computer that is not connected to your local network because any transaction imported from the download servers will not integrate with your main database. Using QuickDownload requires an additional product subscription. Call your sales representative for details.

If I am also a QuickQuote user, can I use the QuickFile Enterprise Edition?
Yes! If you would like to switch to QuickFile Enterprise Edition and you also use QuickQuote, you will also convert to the Enterprise Edition of QuickQuote. This has the same look and feel as our current version. The difference is that your saved quotes file will reside on our secure servers, along with your QuickFile data, rather than on your local machines or server.

Is QuickFile Enterprise a Web application?
QuickFile Enterprise Edition is a Web-enabled program. Your database is stored on our servers and accessed using a secure (SSL) connection over the web. The QuickFile software itself runs locally on your computer(s).

Can I work on clients from home?
Yes! Each QuickFile Enterprise Edition account (i.e., single location) includes 1 home installation. This home installation will allow you to process client data as if you were at the office.

Can I scan or attach images to my client files?
Yes! You can scan and/or attach images to your clients records. Images are stored on our secure, servers. Image file limits are as follows: for JPG, GIF, BMP, XLS, and DOC files, the limit is 1 MB of disk space per file. For TIF files the limit is 2 MB per file. For PDF files, the limit is 6 MB per file.
